Important Type 1 zemi featuring four animals. First the head represents a rhinoceros iguana defined by the knob nose and endemic to the Dominican Republic. Second a long billed shorebird with wings either side of cone. Third a snake is draped around the bird  and fourth long thin arms and legs denote human intend. Of significant importance is the bird/snake combination likely representing the enduring legend of Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent of ancient Mesoamerican mythology.
